Team Spain

REQUIREMENTS 

• Athletes considering Senior teams must be at least 16 years old at time of tryouts or born in 2011 or after.

• Athletes considering our Junior team must be 15-18 years old at the date of competition or born in the years 2008-2012.

• Athletes considering our Youth team must be 12-14 years old at date of competition or born in the years 2012-2015.

• In the event that we do not have 16 athletes to form either youth or junior teams, we will combine those two groups of athletes again this year and create another “showcase” team.

• Athletes are required to be a minimum of six (6) months consecutive permanent resident in Spain at time of tryout.

• Athletes must be eligible to travel internationally with a passport valid for a minimum of six (6) months past the date of return from the competition.

APPLICATION PROCESS  

It is highly recommended that athletes try out as a full stunt group of four. It is possible that not all members of a group will be selected OR work together all season as the coaches MAY mix athletes from different groups to maximize the potential of the team.

All Girl Tryout Skills

Tumbling:

• If you can showcase tumbling, this is preferred

• Standing Back Tuck

• Round Off back handspring layout or full

• Best Running Series (Speciality pass)

Stunting:

At least 3 of the skills/sequences below are required, additional skills shown below will increase your tryout score.

• Rewind to Block

• Hand in Hand to Full Around

  • Extended Vertical to Block — Full Around to Block

• Front handspring up

  • ½ twisting to extension

• Full Twisting Switch Up to Lib, Heel Stretch or Arabesque

• Switch up in Partners

  • preferred to heel stretch

Baskets

At least 2 of the below baskets.

• Toe touch

• Kick Double

• Hitch Kick Double

• Pike Pretty

Dismounts

• Arabesque/Heel Stretch double down
